Managers of information technology (IT) are responsible for developing both immediate and long-term strategies for meeting an organization’s technical needs.

In this role, you’ll often work closely with upper-level management and executives on IT-related matters, such as making large-scale purchases, maintaining important vendor relationships, overseeing software and hardware updates, and overseeing basic IT tasks like security.

IT managers are degree holders in computer science or related fields, and the requirements for their job are cumbersome and demanding. Also, IT managers oversee a lot of other employees under them, surely this is not an easy task.
